The ASO (Anti-Streptolysin O) titre test is a blood test that measures the number of antibodies your body produces to fight off Group A Streptococcus bacteria. It is primarily used to detect past or recent strep infections and to check for serious complications like rheumatic fever or kidney inflammation (glomerulonephritis).
